Deplastify the Planet

     

PLANET EARTH DAY 1 – 16th November 2022 On 16th November, in Agrupamento de Escolas de Pegões, Canha e Santo Isidro, we celebrated our first Planet Earth Day, developing awareness-raising actions to educate about plastic pollution. We carried out different activities: - Plastic weighing accumulated over 1 week: we got 16,88 kg of plastic. We have a long job ahead since our goal is to reduce this weight by, at least, 50%. - We invited an expert to hold an awareness-raising talk on waste sorting and recycling. The lecture was targeted at teaching and non-teaching staff.
